Options

Skyview offers counseling through a number of different media and events.

1) One on One, Individual Counseling.

o Face to Face Counseling is the most beneficial type of counseling. It allows the therapist to clearly hear and "read" the facial expressions of the client. It also allows the therapist to use other forms of communication immediately to illustrate concepts (ie use of 'white boards' and printed handouts).

o Phone Counseling can be effective if the client is living in a remote location and is unable to come into the Skyview office. In order for phone counseling to take place the client must first make an appointment by calling Skyview. Once a time is set then the client can either pay in advance by mailing a check for the amount of time they wish to talk or a client can pay via "PayPal.com". Once a payment is received then the client will be sent an Email with the number to call for the counseling appointment and a confirmation of the date and time of the appointment. Counseling rates and conditions will be the same as the face to face counseling.

o Internet Video Counseling will be available in mid January 2005.This will require the client to have a fairly new computer, an Internet camera and the necessary software. More information will be provided in the near future. Counseling rates and conditions will be the same as the face to face counseling.

o Secure Email Counseling is available by contacting Skyview Counseling at help@skyviewcounseling.com Please request information about "Secure Email Counseling" and the encrypting of counseling information. This type of counseling will require both Skyview and the client to establish a secure Email system that will require a password. Counseling rates and conditions will be based upon the amount of time and research needed to answer the client's questions. A disclaimer will also need to be signed by the client stating that the client understands that Email Counseling has no guarantees, simply because there is no actual contact with the client. The therapist has no way of telling whether the client is telling the truth or has enough information and context to make a clear or valid judgment about their issues or problems. Therefore, the client can not hold the therapist responsible for their counsel.

* To pay by credit card through PayPal.com the client will simply go on line to PayPal.com and click on "Send Money". The client will then be brought to a secure site where they will be instructed to type in Skyview's Email address - help@skyviewcounseling.com Then type in the amount of money you wish to send and your credit card number. PayPal will then automatically send an email to Skyview letting us know that the funds have been transferred.

2) Couples Counseling is available at the Skyview Counseling Office and will be available in January 2005 via Internet Video Counseling. Rates and conditions for Couples Counseling are the same as individual counseling.

- Pre-Engagement and Pre-marital counseling rates are currently $275 for six sessions.

3) Family Counseling is available at the Skyview Counseling Office and will be available in January 2005 via Internet Video Counseling. Rates and conditions for Couples Counseling are the same as individual counseling. If individual family members need individual counseling then the therapist will need to determine if they will need to refer the individuals to separate therapists.

4) Group Counseling

o Recovery Groups such as "For Men Only" (FMO), "Celebrate Recovery", "God Lovers" or "MOG" (Men of God) which need help and counsel getting started can have their Pastors contact Skyview Counseling. We have had wonderful success establishing and building a strong SA Recovery group in our area. We have also been trained in the Celebrate Recovery material.

o Accountability & Men’s Groups

o Seminars, Retreats and Adventure / Growth Trips for Youth & Men’s Ministries. These life-changing events address many of the issues of the heart and mind.
